      1. +2. If this amoral troll cannot be banned outright, could you please at least consider imposing a moratorium on his almost complete reliance upon these cheap, evil, lie-based cartoons and Photoshopped photographic propaganda filth? Make the coward use his own craven words, instead of some other propagandist hack's work. He spams the boards constantly with this garbage, rendering CoPols a virtual GOTP propaganda billboard in the process.

At least the other Koch troll, Zippy, uses words, however harebrained and fraudulent they might be.

      2. I agree with my friends here. I am not normally in favor of censoring anything, but this piece of human excrement that calls himself Andrew Carnegie does not deserve any consideration as a poster or a person. There have been many low, amoral, bothersome trolls here, but this asshole has taken it to a new level.

Though I think his presence effective in terms of continuing to turn off moderate Republicans and strenghtening the resolve of progressives to fight this disgusting trend, I think you should remove that photo and if you are unwilling to ban him outright, put this WIF on probation.

There is a limit to anything, Pols…even free speech. This awful person should be removed from this site. Sadism is unacceptable….

    1. Hey tough guy, bet you are like all the other right wing chickenhawks – haven't seen one day of active duty but are more tha willing to send others to fight for you pathetic excuse of a life. Have you been wrong and ignorant your entire life?

      1. ..speaking of ignorant.  Where's ol' Phil "I'm a homophobe just like Jesus'" Robertson? Did he pick up arms and head for Syria?  Or is he laughing his ass off all the way to the bank while his hoards of followers rush down to Wally World and buy his useless shit made in China? It appears he left at least one ignorams behind…

            1. Wouldn't the Rapture take away the actual, practicing Christians? I'm pretty sure that'd leave AC around here with us Heathens.

I don't think you can call AC a Conservative or a Christian. The Tea Party psychos like to claim those connections, but they're really not. They're just bitter, nasty old regressives.

AC didn't make that vile image. Someone else did. And a number of someone elses in the Tea Party, like him, thought it was just dandy.

        1. Duck Dynasty is 90% fake.

          The 10% real parts:

          • Phil Robertson did grow up without money, in the Louisiana backwoods.
          • He is a staunch conservative.
          • He loves duck hunting.

          The 90% fake parts:

          • Phll's kids grew up middle class, for the most part; Robertson has a teaching degree, and worked as a PE and English teacher  and football coach for several years. He has a masters degree in English. He also worked as a  commercial fisherman and a bar owner.
          • His duck call business, started in 1973, is now a multimillion dollar business, headed by his son Willie.
          • Phil also started working as a professional actor when his duck call business led to some duck-hunting videos on the Outdoor Channel, and then to the "reality show" concept from A&E.
          • The bushy beard is a new look for Phil; He was clean shaven until the mid-80s.  His kids prefer the preppy look.
          • The boys were all clean shaven until 2009 when they started acting out these roles as supposed rednecks. All are college-educated businessmen, producers, and actors who together have a net worth of 400 million in 2013.
          •
          • The blogger "Cognitive Dissonance" has a good take on this – Phil may or may not be a racist, homophobic bigot, but he is a VERY good marketer and businessman.  The company makes millions on their T shirts and "Dynasty gear from Walmart sales alone.
          • A&E channel is cashing in on the nostalgia Americans feel for what they imagine was the simple life, close to the land, with a close knit family and Christian religious values.  That the stars of this fantasy, are rich scam artists doesn't affect the show's  popularity.
            1. Duckriot response.

              Quote from Nirvana's Kurt Cobain:

"I have request for our fans. If any of you in any way hate homosexuals, people of a different colour, or women, please do this one favor for us… Don't come to our shows and don't buy our records"

This quote was taken from the liner notes of Nirvana's compilation album entitled Incesticide.

    2. It makes sense, if you think about it. Using the corpses of other people is as close to combat that a Chickenshit ChickenHawk like AC will ever get.

Finally feel like a real man, ACHole?

      1. Nah, he's really just a run-of-the-mill GOTP ChickenHawk. They love doing offensive things in the name of "goodness and justice" and all that crap.

Deep down, they're all just scummy, cowardly little sociopaths, who take genuine pleasure in doing this kind of nasty shit, because it's the kind of behavior they'd never get away with in reasonable company.

      2. There isn't even a word for this POS; I thought the WIF had hit his low.

        Sadly, he hasn't.

I think of the good, well-meaning Repubs that I grew up with and still know today and it honestly makes me really sad. They are in complete denial that this "is their party" – while these assholes gloat.

    3. It’s my sincere hope that your sense of humor ran away with you, as mine occasionally does, and you didn’t realize that what initially struck you as humorous was really not. I hope you wish you could edit the post to remove the picture you used. I hope you realize how awful what you did is. I hope, but I don’t believe.

Mr. Sotloff was a mother’s child, a father’s son, a coworker, a friend. In fact, he shared the same thing in common that is the one thing you apparently share with the president you hate—he was an American. He died for that. Just as you would if you were taken. Just as the president would if he were taken.

That you could ever believe that turning this horrific act of hatred into a quick hit bit of political nonsense was OK is unfathomable to me. It is not, unfortunately, unsurprising. I found myself more surprised that you didn’t use a later image, less “humorous,” after the man in black on the right took his knife in hand, held Mr. Sotloff and sawed through trachea, carotid artery and jugular vein, through sinew and finally the spine, and severed the head of Mr. Sotloff from his body.

If you are being paid to post here, I hope that you are fired. Not because I want to see you placed in economic jeopardy, but because I want to believe that there is still decency on the right.

Pols, if you do remove the picture, please leave some text to describe what it was.

Also, I believe it’s time for Mr. Carnegie to leave us permanently. I’m not sure how posting something like this is any less offensive that racial slurs or outing.

      1. AC is a self-professed man of morals and principles who gets off on offending people anonymously on the internet.  He's one sick, twisted little old psycho, and one shudders to think about the other ways his sickness manifests itself.

Years of dealing with extremely sick people when I was a LEO taught me that you just can't keep that under wraps forever; it oozes out where decent people can sense it.  I'd imagine family gatherings in his clan are more than a little awkward

            1. Thanks for the assist. 🙂 I don't like to be too specific about my employment history, even though most of the people I worked with are now retired or moved on to other areas.  It's still a pretty small town, after all.

      1. Seriously.  A man was brutally murdered moments after that video grab was captured.  And troll uses it to attack Obama in a drive by. Ithought this about it from the get go when it tried to attack Senator Udall through his family.  Then it routinely has danced on the graves of our soldiers, our diplomats, sprinkled in some ethnic slurs and other genuinely offensive, not just your harsh blog banter, ka ka.  And now this.

  1. Gail Collins hit both Gardner and Coffman today in her column, "Passion for the Pill," especially calling out Cory for his flip flopping on personhood amendments.  Too bad she didn't include Both Ways.  She could have made it the anti-choice trifecta.

At this point, we will hear from Moddy with his little video of the man with the cane beating the dead horse.

      1. Isn't that a great piece? I hope it's receiving very wide distribution, here in CO and nationwide.

Evidently the GOTP doesn''t comprehend that this new-fangled, confounded innertubes/interwebz thingamabob let's us all know that their hack candiates from coast to coast are attempting to pull the same "over-the-counter contraception" con on women in any number or races. Their transparent playbook apparently was written by tone-deaf, dimwitted, low-tech frat boys.

  2.  Kudos to our President for not rushing in to war this time, unlike his predecessor. The entire quote, in context, about strategy, is that we don't have a strategy for Syria airstrikes – and no wonder.

Are we supposed to get cozy again with Assad, although we were arming rebels against him just months ago?

Do we arm Assad's air force or ground troops, when they willl possibly turn on our allies?

Do we merely try to contain ISIS, since, although they are cruel and genocidal, they also stabilize the areas which they take over?

What do the money guys, the Saudis, want us to do?

We don't have much oil imported from Iraq anymore, although our allies do – should we wait until our allies step up?

We know that Barack Obama will be viciously criticized by the right no matter what he does – wait for Congressional approval, strategic airstrikes on ISIS without Congressional approval, arm Assad, arm rebels, airstrikes, whatever, so the right wingers that like to post little graphics showing someone's violent death in order to troll the conversation shouldn't even be considered as a serious contribution to dialogue. Your objectives are merely to make Obama look bad for political gain, and that's all you really care about.

What are our aims and objectives in Iraq and Syria? What would victory look like?

  3. Attending the debate between Claudette Konola and Ray Scott. Scott is lying about fracking. The Beauprez boys standing next to me are starting the cat calls..

  4. Here's a question for Ray Scott: Given your thoroughly unimpressive record as a representative, do we look forward to years of getting nothing done or will you at least provide some good blog material by flaming out in some face-palm worthy scandal or boner move?

    1. Sadly, I was distracted by a family matter and didn't yet get to comment on the debate. Recognizing that I am a fan of and work with Konola, I still honestly believe she kicked his ass. Scott seemed off-balance and confused right out of the chute.

He said repeatedly that his complete inactivity on water issues is because he was butt-hurt by Hickenloopers' treatment of the legislature. (my characterization, not his)

While Konola kept her cool and seemed professional and focused, Scott seemed ill at ease when his old, hackneyed talking points didn't get the rousing reception to which he is accustomed. Konola actually got considerably more applause than Scott. The progressive community was very well represented in the room and it seems the GJ Chamber of Commerce and Club 20 fell down on the job when it came to packing the room with friendlies.

      Konola–1 Scott–0

      Next…Chris Kennedy at 2:00 PM….

  5. Bobby McFerrin named Assistant Secretary of State for the Mideast.

    He has a plan.

He will keep singing his tune, "Don't worry, be Happy".

It is very similar to Obama's plan, but there will be a nice beat to it.

    1. Rasmussen: UDALL UP BY 2

Sam Wang: DEMS 51 GOTP 49  Meta-margin: DEMS +1.7 Proabaility of DEMS retaining Senate if vote held today: 95%  In November: 75%

But don't worry, Skippy — be happy! It isn't all slipping away from you dung stains — no, of course not!

      Two-bit putz.

    1. Maybe. Perhaps. Certainly not unlikely.  But whenever the next almost certain market correction does occur, it will be much less likely to cause the kind of system wide devastation as before . . .

Why?  Thank to regulations implemented after the Bush debacle, the CFPB, and, Elizabeth Warren in particular — most of the mortgage loan features and economic conditions that led to the foreclosure spiral — balloon payments, prepayment penalties, equity churning and skimming, no-income verification ("liar") loans, high LTV originations, etc., etc. — have been mostly, albeit not completely, from the process.

Will there be an eventual large-geography market correction?  Yes!   Will the landing be softer, shallower, and much more manageable? Yes!!!

god, how I love effective governance and regulation!

      1. President Bush and President Obama both did a less than adequate job in the aftermath of the 2008 recession. My main criticism of both them is the lack of accountability, in particular the fact that too big to fail hasn’t become less of a problem, if anything it’s become more of a problem.  I just hope we won’t end up bailing anyone out this time but I won’t count on getting my wish.

I’d like to believe that a market correction will bring prices in line, with what people, who actually want a place to live, can afford.  However, home prices have been incredibly distorted by flipping and investors (including hedge funds) snapping up property to rent out–the latter often buy in all cash. However, in the absence of some miracle that removes speculators from the housing market—if not completely at least enough to where aspiring homeowners aren’t competing against speculators like they are right now—the days of home-ownership may be permanently over for a large segment of the population.

        1. And don't forget the cowed Dems, as always, afraid of being called too liberal who were afraid to go far enough with the stimulus, Not that always cautious to a fault Obama was giving them much cover.  Still, not far enough worked out a lot better than going in a completely wrong direction. See Europe for the success of the rightie's beloved and thoroughly discredited austerity approach.

  6. For what it's worth… Just saw the latest Razzy poll of likely voters flash by on twitter. Udall up 44% to Gardner 42%. —  well within the 4% margin for error and of course their new-found tilt in our direction.

Still better than a stick in the eye!

  7. When Fox News Didn't Blame The (GOP) President For Beheadings

Four weeks after Berg's murder, terrorists abducted Paul Johnson, a Lockheed Martin engineer who lived in Saudi Arabia. They demanded the Saudi government release all its al-Qaeda prisoners. Days later, on June 18, Johnson was murdered on tape. (After the beheading news broke, Bush made a brief public statement and then boarded a plane to attend a Bush-Cheney `04 campaign rally in Nevada.)

    1. Republican pols, talking heads and trolls are completely cynical with no sense of decency. Period. I want Piss ant banned for posting that pic, I want the pic taken down and I want Colpols to apologize to the family and assure them the responsible despicable creep will never show up on this blog again.

  8. Bad news for trollies, good news for the rest of the country. That bastion of liberalism, Forbes magazine, says that "

What’s now clear is that the Obama administration policies have outperformed the Reagan administration policies for job creation and unemployment reduction."

There's still too-high unemployment among youth, particularly minority youth. I'm under-employed myself.  But, whatever you may think of all of Obama's policies, , he has turned the country around economically from the Bush years, and outperformed Reagan, in the face of determined and unwavering obstruction from the GOP.

    1. New NBC marist poll released today. Bad news for Colorado republicans. Hickenlooper is beating Bob Beauprez by 4 and Udall is beating Gardner by 6 points. This is for likely voters.

The Ny Times now gives Udall a cose to 80% chance of beating right wing loon Cory Gardner in November 🙂

      1. Unless Gardner comes up with some new material, his red meat Obama baiting ain't gonna fly so well with a more balanced crowd.  Its difficult to be too conservative and rabidly right for the Club20/Mesa GOP base–but Gardner mentioned Obama in every comment as far as I recall.

Udall did better, but it wasn't his strongest performance.  Still he got pretty riled (righly so) at Gardner's total ignorance on foreign policy–which was basically "Terrorists want to come kill your Children like my family in Yuma! American beheaders are running amok because of Mark Udall."  Udall got flustered when Gardner basically asked when he knew he was lying about Obamacare.  He was stronger when he defended his vote on the ACA, which I think he did well, and challenged Gardner on his 'more than 50 votes to repeal' the law without offering any solutions.  He also took Cory on re: shutting down the government, which Gardner tried (pretty unconvincingly) to wiggle out of.  Garder whined about Udall making state disasters 'political' (to which the Udall crowd scoffed), having just raised the spectre of American executioners setting up shop in Orchard City because of Mark Udall.

      2. The trend toward Cory becoming more widely known as a rather untrustworthy person will continue and increase as more and more people get to listen to his mealy-mouthed recitation of one phony, red-meat talking point and buzz word after another. "Cory's my name, prevaricatin' is my game".

        1. Sorry. I did it just the way I've been successfully posting stuff like this lately but it didn't work. In case Piss Ant is lurking that's the latest from hs beloved RCP, including that new Marist poll, without a single poll showing Gardner ahead.

If you switched names on this thing Piss Ant would be crowing about a trend for Gardner. That is if he still had the nerve to show up here. Notice the times the polls were taken and the direction from oldest to most recent. Even though they're close they certainly don't show that Con Man Corey and Troll Buddy's dull, silly, repetitious attacks are having the desired effect.

          1. Also, because he who shall not be named hasn't gloated recently, I assumed his beloved 538 model had screwed him.  It did.  He last gloated that Gardner had gone from R+1, 52% to win to 53%.  Well, say hello to my little friend R +0, 52%, oh ye of the beheading pictures:

  9. Don Suppes' elementary school teacher is doing a robocall for him (SD5 v. Kerry Donavan).

"Don always put his crayons back in his box when it was naptime, without EVER being asked."
