The reports of the death of democracy have been greatly exaggerated. Candidate Debates are breaking out all over Colorado, and all over the country, this week. Public discourse has not been suffocated by "reality TV" junk food, or cute puppy videos. Let the people decide.
Jared Wright: cartoonist
His artwork isn't all that impressive, but he gets his point across. I will be interested in seeing his cartoons regarding Mesa County politics.
According to Conservation Colorado's scorecard for the 2014 session of the Colorado state legislature, Rep. Wright was the highest scoring Republican in the House at 64%.
Reid and Udall get pimped
The Dems want to campaign on trying to Amend the Constitution to limit free speech in a way that polls well. They know they don't have the votes to pass it, but like I said it polls well. So what happens? The Republicans join in with the Dems to allow debate. This means wasted time for other grandstanding. The Dems are now disappointed because the Republicans did not filibuster.

I think you mean punked. Reid and Udall get punked.
"Pimped" can be used to indicate the destruction of an opponent. See the Urban Dictionary. I don't think this really qualifies, as it was more of a clever maneuver, but…
Just remember AC, it's hard out here for a pimp.
That's what I'm saying – this is more a punk than a pimp.
My god, how far the english language has fallen…
Who cares? It's just more toxic waste from wast-of-space Piss Ant.
So they use a procedural move to ultimately avoid debating gender pay equity and the minimum wage. They really are Einsteins – especially when I compare them to you. WIF
How disgustingly petty and antisocial are Republicans (well, besides Teh Librarian himself)?
Republicans cut funding request to fight Ebola outbreak
Of course, this is despite the ummmmmm, *fact*, that illegal child terrorist warriors from Honduras are bringing Ebola in country to kill their White Christian masters.
Well just because there is not now and never has been Ebola in the western hemisphere doesn't mean it's completely impossible and doesn't need to be addressed with draconian safeguards. You know, like in person voter fraud. But not like earthquakes and flaming tap water connected with O&G.
Just wait. I wouldn't be surprised if Chaps or someone of his ilk declare that Ebola is God's revenge on Africa for accepting Sharia law.
Just went to "my comment"s and they're all gone. Anybody else? New platform thing?
Working for me
Still not for me but everything else is fine.
It's called quality control..:)
KIss off and die, dirt bag.
While the continuing feud with Andrew goes on, how about we focus on some real news? I carefully read the Post article about the Club 20 debates this past weekend. Appears that both Beauprez and Gardner are leaning towards the takeover of federal "agricultural" lands by the state. Guess they don't care much about Colorado's toruism and recreation economy; billions and billions of dollars each year; that is powered by our federal public lands.

It's no surprise that ConMan and BWB are shilling …

You might double check that number before you dial . . .
Could the Justice Department get some help leaking information about the IRS’s scrutiny of conservative groups? asked Brian Fallon, a top spokesman for Attorney General Eric Holder.
Apparently thinking he had reached the office of Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings (Md.), Fallon said the department wanted congressional staffers to get documents to selected reporters so that officials could comment on them “before the majority” did.
After Issa spokesman Frederick Hill replied that Oversight Committee staffers would have to examine those documents first, the line went silent, and Fallon placed the call on hold for three minutes.
When he returned to the line, Fallon was “audibly shaken,” according to an account of the conversation that Issa recounts in a letter sent to Holder.

Slow day, Skippy? Would you rather have them ginning up a war of false intel? Exposing undercover agents? All those poor, poor, oppressed conservative groups. Not a single one of them were denied their status.
Get a clue, WIF.
MIchael, Off in the distance, do you see the wave developing?
Republicans hold a two-point lead nationwide on which party registered voters want to see in control of Congress. That lead expands to 10 points in Senate battleground states at 50 to 40 percent in the poll, conducted by Democratic polling firm Hart Research and Republican pollster Public Opinion Strategies.
"With 56 days until Election Day, our poll provides greater insight into what is likely to happen, and the news is not good for the Democrats," Democratic pollster Fred Yang writes in an accompanying memo.
President Obama is a huge drag on the party — his approval rating is down to 40 percent with 54 percent disapproving, tied for the lowest number the poll has found in his presidency.

Just more goog news to brighten the day.
Building wave? We didn't hear anything about building wave last time Dems were up a point or two in the generic, which they have been for most of the past couple of months. We don't hear anything about a building wave now that Udall has consistently been up a point or a few over Gardner for weeks. And still no apology for using dead journalists as a snarky punchline. Irrelevant, ridiculous and no redeeming qualities. Why are you still here, now?
Does anyone think anything you do, post or say has any value or worth? I doubt it.
As far as I can tell there are no longer any doubters–rather there is broad agreement: you are a low life. We don't care if some con wants to come here and post the days latest low-info talking point, we will happily tell you they are stupid.
It is that you are such a loathsome little creature that most of us find despicable.
Wonder what he makes of his beloved RCP wave for Udall.

All Colorado Senate – Gardner vs. Udall Polling Data
Sorry. I couldn't get this one right. But as you can see it's a one way trajectory from a low of +1 to a high of +6, with an average +3. By his standards (for Rs) that should spell tsunami.
Dear Andrew: just a quick point-out for you that one poll does not imply creation of a "wave." At this early stage in the election process, the polls are all over the place. Also of note is whether or not pollsters are able to call cell phones because so many people continue to drop their land lines (my land line went away 12/31/2012). Validity of any polling seems to be slowly eroding.
Regards, C.H.B.
CHB I agree about the one poll not being a wave. I also agree the polls at this stage are all over the place. I try to read the cross tabs to see the break down of who was polled and I look at national polling daily. I see a pick-up of about 7 seats and I think the Udall-Gardner race will be within a couple points either way. But it is early and stuff can happen, but that is how I read the current tea leaves.
By "wave" do you mean #romneyinalandslide? #gessler2014? If so, then "yes", I see a wave coming. I don't think that word means what you think it means.
