  1. I see a mention of the “long bill” in the Colorado state house…signaling the nearing of the end of the session.

Is there still no legislation coming from either side in the O&G war?….Is there no one in the legislature who will consider a compromise bill?..or is everything just under wraps…?

    Got anything on that, Pols?

    1. With all the work that the legislature would have to do to get a compromise for anything that would pass, I’d put my money on a special session late summer/early fall, or (where I’d really put my money) no action at all.

I think it will take an initiative with a real chance at passing (i.e. polling well) before state legislators will move forward on something watered down enough to just make it attractive enough to forestall any real change.

      1. That’s only because they were brainwashed by foreign agents who brought lots of money in to Israel along with Obama’s ’08 campaign organizers and busloads of Arabs who voted against Bibi. I wouldn’t be surprised if next election, Likud asks Tancredo and Gessler to come visit and check the IDs on anyone Arab or Arab-looking.

    1. Let us know just as soon as you think it’s time for that so-called ally to show America any respect.

      (And, by “America,” I don’t just mean Sheldon Adelson . . .)

  2. I don’t see him even barely pretending. Barely pretending is what he’s done all along and anyone who believed him probably needs help getting dressed.

    1. Netanyahu played the fear card and fear, alas, always outweighs common sense.  Oh and Moddy, you’ve got it wrong (not that that’s anything new), Amurrrica is the only ally Israel really has left and Bibi just urinated in our Post Toasties(TM).  Sad, really, I’ve always supported Israel (and not for Armageddon), but the Bibster is making it harder.

      1. Supporting Bibi’s policies is not the same as supporting Israel. It’s pretty much the opposite. So don’t feel badly about it. I’m sick of his contempt. I’m sick of his assuming he can always get us to dance to his tune. If we told him tomorrow, not one more dime until you stop expanding the settlements and start kicking settlers out of all the illegal ones and then actually did it, he’d be back the day after, hat in hand because the truth is, Israel couldn’t last 15 minutes without us. The only reason Republicans applaud his contempt for our government is that they hate Obama so much more than they love our country, Israel or anyone or anything else.

      2. Looks like the long-overdue unraveling of the foolishly iron-clad U.S./Israeli alliance is about to commence.

Well played, Bibi and like-minded Israeli voters! Hope you’re gonna be real happy with the long-term fallout from your racist treachery:

        1. The question now for people of conscience all over the world is if we will continue to ignore what Israeli-sanctioned apartheid is doing to the Palestinian people.

        1. And he apparently believes that Romney’s old Etch-A-Sketch really works because now he’s saying he really didn’t mean it about no Palestinian state and he’s fine with Arab Israeli citizens exercising their right to vote. Proud of it and devoted to inclusiveness. And he seems to think people will believe him even though he just said all that opposite stuff and did all that racist fear mongering (although technically Jews and Arabs are both Semites so maybe more like tribal fear mongering?) literally the day before yesterday. His arrogance and contempt for everyone else’s intelligence really and truly knows no bounds. What a perfect SOB. Just like Cheney. Separated at birth?

    1. It would be great to have 100% participation and really would defuse the power of the elite but it’s hard to see how it could be reconciled with our rights, including the right to be lazy, ignorant citizens if we so choose. It’ll never fly anyway. Obama knows it. It’s just rhetoric. He can’t even get his choice for AG to a vote so he knows mandatory voting represents complete pie in the sky.

    1. Other than Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, Bush and Cheney were afraid to leave the US for fear of being hauled before the International Court of Justice in the Hague. Now there are some blue states in the US they can’t even visit w/out risk of arrest.
