MARK UDALL RAISES MORE THAN $2.7 MILLION IN THIRD QUARTER

Nearly 20,000 Individual Contributors Stand With Udall as Campaign Heads Into Homestretch

U.S. Senate candidate Mark Udall’s campaign headed into the campaign homestretch today, buoyed by the support of nearly 20,000 contributors over the last three months.  Between July 1st and September 30th, Udall raised $2.76 million for his campaign, surpassing his own previous best fundraising quarter by more than $700,000.  He received contributions from19,805 individual donors, including 16,794 small donors – 85% of all individual donors – who contributed $100 or less.

And in a sign of the Udall campaign’s snowballing momentum over the last three months, the number of individuals contributing this quarter represents a near-doubling of last quarter’s total of 10,691.

“As we head into the final weeks of the campaign, we are incredibly grateful for the support of people from all over Colorado who have put us in a strong position to get this country back on track,” said Udall spokeswoman Tara Trujillo.

“Coloradans want real change in November and a leader who’s going to be standing with them to fix our broken economy, and they trust Mark to be that leader.  He’ll work hard every day to honor that trust.”

Udall’s strong fundraising numbers come on the heels of two public polls showing him leading his opponent by double-digits.

Strong support early in the quarter allowed the campaign to lock in television advertising time through the end of the campaign well in advance, taking advantage of lower rates and ensuring good placement.

A summary of the third quarter’s fund-raising data is below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because of Colorado’s July primary, a pre-primary report was already filed with the FEC for the period of July 1st-23rd.  Therefore, the actual FEC report being filed today only includes totals from the period of July 24th-September 30th. The numbers below cover the FULL THIRD QUARTER, July 1st-September 30th.

           Total Receipts: $2,763,578.83

           Total Individual Donors: 19,805

           Total Contributions $100 or 16,794

Percentage of Contributions $100 or 85%

           Total Disbursements: $6,175,276.53

           Total Cash-on-Hand: $545,963.07
