1. Personally I can see the baby getting split here. If I were betting, I would put money on Witt and Williams getting ousted and Newkirk surviving. For the open seats I have a lot of hope that Ali Lasell and Amanda Stevens are going to hold them for the good guys.

2. I helped with the petition-gathering effort, and I've never ever seen such enthusiasm to sign a damn petition. Ever. And I've been doing this for 15 years.

3. Two factors that make me optimistic that all three will be recalled:  1) the turn out so far is favorable to the recall.  While the republicans are maintaining a slight advantage in turned in ballots, it is much smaller than 2 years ago.  I believe that there will be more republicans voting to recall than democrats voting against recall. And I think independents will break in favor of recall. In addition, two years ago, there were approximately 42,000 under votes, almost 25%.  There is a lot more information out there this time around.  There will be less under votes and they will break strongly for the recall.

4. Because the voting is at-large, I can't see any of them staying on.  It's not like the political bent of the district they represent matters, and they've been in lock-step all along.  I'd expect they all go or none– although I will hold out the possibility of just Williams going if the vote supports the incumbents because she was identified personally with the craziness.  On the other end, with the anti-incumbent slate having been well-defined and promoted, I'd expect to see them take over.

5. I'm optimistic because of factors mentioned here but since I'm told turn out hasn't been much different than normal so far for an off year election I'm not sure. It could be that activists are seeing more widespread enthusiasm for the recall than there really is.

   I do wish the recall effort the best of luck. Here in Littleton (Littleton school district Littleton, not Jeffco school district unincorporated Littleton) we get to vote for two of three candidates for school board. There are differences but if you're looking for someone who hates the teachers union and supports vouchers, you're out of luck. None of the choices hold those views.

   I love Littleton. Great schools, a great library and museum, wonderful historic downtown that keeps adding interesting restaurants, brew pubs and specialty food shops to existing long standing one of a kind businesses like Reinke Brothers. Wonderful full service Rec center, the jewel that is South Platte Park, the trails, historic buldings that make you feel like you're in Music Man when you go downtown to see the Western Welcome Week parade. And no total bat shit crazies even trying to get onto the school board.

   It's a wonderful town. We even have our own Tattered Cover now. Moved here from Highlands Ranch. Come on down! Just don't confuse us with the Columbine/ Southwest Plaza/Jeffco "Littleton". Totally different scene in every way.

6. My gut tells me they will all go.  It will be all or nothing, there is no middle ground in anyone's mind.

8. This will be all or nothing. I cannot imagine anyone splitting their tickets on this.

   As for likely outcomes, if it's any indication, I live in Justin Everrett's House District where you see plenty of RMGO decals and Tea Party (i.s., the Gasden) flags. But there appear to be noticably more pro-recall yard signs than anything in opposition.
