This week on Get More Smarter: in our technically-challenged first episode of the Get More Smarter Show, Jason Bane and Alan Franklin discuss the Jon Keyser petition fraud scandal and Colorado’s crazy GOP U.S. Senate primary. Then, stay tuned for Part 1 of GMS’s exclusive interview with Gov. John Hickenlooper of Colorado!
Along with the Get More Smarter daily roundup of Colorado politics each day on ColoradoPols.com, we’ll be taking a few minutes every week to talk about Colorado politics for the Get More Smarter Show. We’ll have great interviews like today’s with Gov. Hickenlooper, commentary that will get increasingly smarter as we shake off our stagefright and technical hurdles, and as much fun as our state’s political chattering class can handle.
Thanks for watching! To jump directly to our Hickenlooper interview, which will make us kind of sad but feel free, click to 8:04 in the video above or click here.

yous guys broke the TV Quotient meter…………
Our "Q Score" more closely resembles a letter than a number.
This one's for all you cord cutters missing out on public access cable.
I’m actually enjoying it, but I might suggest ironing the backdrop next time.
That's a high standard to live up to but we're doing our best.
Love this! Especially the better microphone you switched to sometime in your production. 🙂
Until now, a waterboarding never sounded like all that much fun …
I like it. I did, however, spend too much time wondering what the heck was the metallic device on the table between you guys. Only on the "Colorado" backdrop, though. Very distracting, Projector? Mic?
Another camera-angle quibble: At points during the Hickenlooper interview, why was your POV camera angle approximately 10 feet above the table with the talking humans? It was like an alien watching the intelligent mammals debate for an experiment.
Watch out, Chaps! The demon liberals are contending for eyeballs in the political arena!
I hope you guys do some panel discussions; you'll hopefully be more substantive than Redstate's BATF show. Speaking of substance: why no questions about the court cases on the fracking ban? Does Hick consider beating the will of the Longmont residents a great victory, or what?
I did like his plug for the Linkedin apprenticeship program. First I've heard of it.
That's the crappy microphone we started taping with. When we realized how bad it sucks we switched to a far better one that is also less obtrusive. You'll never see that contraption again on our table.
You need to ask George Soros for a grant. Or enlist liberal Hollywood, because Jason Bane is a dork and Alan Franklin is a stoned out old hippie.
Well, yeah, but what's your point? Entrepeneurs, idealists, and creative people = dorks, geeks, and stoners. Do you have an "in" with Mr. Soros? Cause I'm still waiting for my Soros payday, too…
A few minutes into the Hickenlooper interview, the video stopped, and locked up my computer. I had to exit the site to get it back.
