Republican U.S. Senate candidate Darryl Glenn spoke to a group at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood today, and as Ernest Luning of the Colorado Statesman Tweets…well, this is just sad:

Is it sadder that Glenn is getting his opposition research from his mother…or is it worse that he is bragging to a crowd that he might be within “single digits” of Sen. Michael Bennet?
We’re going to go with option C: All of the above.

I think almost every candidate has to tell him/herself stuff to keep going
When the best even Mom can say is that you're only down 10 points, that IS sad.
Mom and Darryl should know not to trust internal polls. Clearly the Bennet campaign understated the true poll results so supporters won't get complacent. Now that's really sad — for the Glenn family, I mean.
Of course, in a couple of months Darryl will forget all about the fact that he was a US Senate candidate given his past history of forgetting stuff.
Given this anecdote and the polling data showing Glenn down by (at least) high single digits — how does the "Big Line" come up with Bennet 80 Glenn 20??
Because CP won't change it!
