In all fairness, the Donald only owes half the finger to Daryl Glenn who denounced Trump but then rescinded the denunciation days later. For such flexibility, I'd like to nominate Glenn for the Bob Beauprez Profile in Flip-Flopping Award.

It was that or a Profile in Spinelessness Award.
What a sad contrast with Colorado's own Ralph Carr, Republican, who stood against the shameful internment of American citizens of Japanese ancestry and appearance on the basis of nothing but fear and bigotry (no such action was taken against Americans of German heritage who happened to be white), with no evidence, no due process, when it was political suicide to do so. What a clear illustration of the difference between a real man, a real mensch (mensch referring to a person not just to a man), and a small, mean, ignorant playground bully.
B.C. You're mistaken about no Germans being detained during WWII. Certainly many fewer Germans than Japanese-Americans were held but there were some.

I didn’t say no Germans were interned but that no action simiar to that taken against American citizens of Japanese descent was taken against Americans of German descent. As per the article very few were American citizens. Those interned were German nationals. So…. no similar mass internment of American citizens of German descent.
