(We don’t get it – Promoted by Colorado Pols)
If you’ve been tracking ousted Jeffco school board member Julie Williams, you know she’s been keeping her hand in politics with occasional salvos on Facebook.
One of her Facebook causes has been to promote Republican state senate candidate Laura Woods of Arvada, urging people to vote not only for Woods but for Trump and others.
Now Williams is back on Facebook defending Trump’s ugly comments about sexually assaulting women.
She shared a Facebook meme, popular among Trump supporters, that somehow equates 50 Shades of Grey to Trump’s comments.
The meme reads, “IF AMERICAN WOMEN ARE SO OUTRAGED OVER TRUMPS’ USE OF NAUGHTY WORDS, WHO IN THE HELL BOUGHT 80 MILLION COPIES OF 50 SHADES OF GREY?”
There’s no logic in equating the book with Trump’s comments, and Williams isn’t on the ballot.
But how could her tenure on the school board and her continued craziness not be an under-the-media-radar factor in the upcoming election. I wish we’d see more coverage of Williams (and Ken Witt’s) role in this election.
It’s hard to imagine that Trump, Woods, or any candidate will gain much by Williams’ Facebook crusading. Exactly the opposite.

Because, of course, reading literature in your private moments is EXACTLY the same as hearing it from one of the candidates for President.
Does Julie Williams know the contents of 50 Shades of Gray well enough to make a judgement, even ignoring the difference between reading a novel and hearing someone talk about sexual molestation as an acceptable act (that he apparently actually partook of on a regular basis)?
So the mother of a child with a disability is supporting a bigoted asshole who enjoys making fun of people with disabilities. Julie and Sarah are quite a pair.
Moderatus, where is your faux indignation now?
Julie Williams is a giant piece of poo who can't think for herself because her head is stuffed so deep into her rectum she hasn't seen daylight for years.
That female dog can go have intercourse with herself.
(I didn't use any "naughty words", so there's no way Williams could be offended by this according to her logic)
That meme about 50 Shades? The author says her books are fiction. Trump sadly represents reality.
Save the G.O.P. Dump the Trump !! c.h.b.
This shows a complete lack of understanding of the difference between women enjoying soft porn fantasy in private and wanting some big vulgar creep to grope them in real life. It has nothing to do with "naughty" words.
I myself haven't the slightest interest in reading stuff like Shades of Grey but friends of mine who like that sort of thing have as much right as anyone else to consider a person who talks publicly and privately about all sorts of people, including women, the disabled, various ethnic groups and the overweight (pot meet kettle there) the way Trump does as unfit to be President.
I'm much more concerned about his banana republic notions that once he's president he'll go after his erstwhile opponent, judges whose decisions he doesn't like and journalists whose stories he doesn't like, as well as bringing back illegal torture. Those are existential threats to our survival as a democrat Republic that has remained stable through peaceful hand over of power after every election for more than 200 years.
That peaceful handover can only occur when both losing incumbents and losing challengers know they won't be thrown in jail or executed. Otherwise they have every reason to launch bloody coups or refuse to give up power and jail and kill the elected winners to save their own necks if the incumbents allow a real election at all. It's a precedent that would destroy us if we ever allowed it to be set and it's what Trump is promising.
I'm much more concerned about brutal mass round ups and deportations without due process.
I'm much more concerned about his lack of knowledge about the world, about our constitutionally mandated form of government, lack of familiarity with the most basic facts and inability to offer so much as a broad outline of how he plans to keep any of his promises about making America great aside from trust me, believe me, the words he's used to con thousand for decades while driving one venture after another into bankruptcy leaving shattered lives and communities in his wake.
I'm much more concerned about the dangerous, corrosive effect of the anger and bitterness he brings out of and feeds on from his legions of Trumpians.
But certainly I don't want a misogynist, racist, ignorant, boorish, oaf of a bully and self procalimed sexual assaulter representing the US as leader of the free world. Neither do most women who enjoy a "naughty" fantasy read now and then.
