No, not politics. But the Broncos are a religion ’round these parts, so we thought it worth a mention.

          1. The details haven’t been worked out yet, released at any rate.

Cutler’s still whining that he doesn’t want to be traded, so theoretically the relationship could be saved with the rest of the team.

I can’t imagine the Broncos taking a hit at this point because of a he-said he-said drama.  Particularly for a trade with the Bears, Cutler likes Chi-town, I guess he’s from just across the border in IN.  Everybody wins.  Also, this trade is technically a last minute thing, they were in serious talks with the Lions.

  1. We trade Cutler away for a modestly worse QB (who isn’t a whiny prick) and we also get a first rounder this year and next and a third rounder this year? Sounds like the Broncos made out like thieves.

If we learned anything from John Elway, it was that it takes a team (we didn’t win when he was in his prime, we won when he had all the pieces around him). Plus, Trent Dilfer has a ring. QBs require competence, not excellence.

      1. So after this long, drawn out, ‘I’m a bigger man than you are’ contest…. the Broncos won…

what did we end up with? More pics in the weakest draft ever, in exchange for one of the NFL’s best young QBs

yep – we kept it real and really ‘showed’ them! I hope the Bears enjoy their Super Bowl next year…

        1. after he basically disrespected the new coach, the owner, and everybody else by not showing up for workouts.  I think it’s hard to cross that line and then make everything OK after that.

Yes, Cutler is pretty good but he’s a prima donna, and that can have a real crappy effect on the team.

I’m willing to give the Broncos the benefit of the doubt but Kyle Orton ?  That part I agree is really bad.

Can we get Favre ?  I’d buy season tickets !

  2. Denver goes 6 -9

Orten will be gone- they’ll use the 1st round picks to get a new QB either in the draft or somewhere else.

    Chicago: 10-6

    Cutler will be happy then.
