Get The Google Extension: Mitt Romney's Nephew!

As part of ProgressNow Colorado’s voter outreach and education program for the upcoming 2018 elections, the state’s largest online progressive advocacy organization released a new extension for the Google Chrome browser: Mitt Romney’s Nephew v1.0. Upon installation of the extension in Chrome, all instances of the name “Doug Robinson” viewed through the browser are automatically rewritten to display the words “Mitt Romney’s Nephew.”

“With so many unknown candidates in the Republican gubernatorial race, voters need a simple way to cut through the noise,” said ProgressNow Colorado executive director Ian Silverii. “The Mitt Romney’s Nephew extension makes sure voters know who one Colorado gubernatorial candidate really is, no matter where they get their news.”

“ProgressNow Colorado is committed to educating voters about their choices in 2018,” said Silverii. “Stay tuned for our next project, the George Bush’s Cousin extension, which is ready to roll out as circumstances warrant.”

  1. What the F does ProgressNow advocate? I never hear any of my politically cognizant friends mention them or any related issues. I almost never see them in the news except for the routine press release publishing service provided by this semi-functional blog here.

    A Chrome extension?!?!?

Worthless piece of crap/waste of time.

This is worse than Bennet's "Refi your student loan" horseshit than was his only identifiable issue his last Genius campaign.

Your little bubble must be super cozy cuz I don't see you ever leaving it.

      1. Yeah, I have!

Not sure, however, what this has to do with "satire" or "humor" except to devalue those terms.  (I'd call it "lame," except that "lame" is so much funnier.)

Wow, I'll bet it also changes all instances of "this does nothing" with the text "this does nothing." Apparently the extension does nothing.

Although if it actually does transform then I'm with Zap – stupid idea that makes you wonder if Progress Now does anything useful.
