If I ran the country for one day I would institute the following two laws:
1. Every American would have the exact same health insurance coverage as members of Congress.
2. Every child of every member of Congress who is of age would have to mandatorily serve in the military. That way Congress may think twice about declaring war, authorizing “police actions,” etc. if they had a little “skin in the game.”
3. Okay, three laws: Beer in drinking fountains of the nation.
Pretty much right to the point…
Flash…………sessions and grassley are going to vote against her confirmation.
Gee, who woulda thunk it? klukker jeff has a track record via his own statements of racism that has made him literally notorious. And this turd has the nerve to claim he believes Judge Sotamayor’s “speeches betray her liberal bias”. Bias? you gotta be kidding me! In klukker jeff’s world, “red bias good, damn librel bias bad”.
grassley’s still remembered as the red dolt that stood up during uncle awol’s 2006 State of the Nation mangling, as chuck was seen cheering, fist pumping, and chest thumping when bush said we’re going to break the nation’s oil addiction via ethanol.
Now both of these shills are reduced to naysaying everything the good guys are trying.
She’ll be confirmed. She’s the most qualified candidate in at least 70 years. If alito can “look through immigrant eyes” at a case, so can Judge Sotamayor.
No matter what klukker jeff thinks.
My roommate I have been mostly unemployed since we graduated in May. He’s a Republican and has been trying to get in touch with both the Penry Campaign and the State Republican Office to volunteer in his free time. He has sent multiple e-mails and stopped by the Republican party offices in Denver many times. He has gotten no response to his e-mails and there has never been anyone at the office (he stops by mid-dayish).
If Penry and the Republicans won’t even respond to volunteers, what can the citizens of Colorado expect?
about why he’s a Republican. Hell, he has all the time to sort it out, and you can help J-Rock.
Here are some things to ask that may stimulate the discussion:
Why the hell do you want to hang out with those fucking clowns ?
Who wants to be part of a shrinking party ?
Do you think these people are going anywhere in the future ?
Why are so many people not supporting them anymore ? Do you think they might be out of touch with the average American ?
Do you really like people who look up to Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, and Sean Hannity ?
Why do they so hell bent on doing such embarrassing stuff ?
Godspeed J-Rock
So far, no good answers.
He claims he wants to change the party from within.
I asked him how he plans to moderate the party when the primary voters are moving further to the right; How would anyone who didn’t agree with Dick Wadhams be able to survive; How any moderate candidate will emerge from a shrinking republican party.
Still, no good answers.
I like Ralphie’s idea (below) though. Maybe we can then use it as evidence for a Penry Recall?
to change the GOP “from within” and “moderate the party,” then why is he trying to volunteer for Penry? As many problems as McInnis has, isn’t he the future of a resurgent Republican Party in the state, or is your roommate just really impressed that Penry was a quarterback?
And he’s probably right.
to help Penry move out of his district.
assist with counting broken promises.
I think every time you talk about Penry, you should use your quote from yesterday:
It gets old. (that’s my own personal Yogi-ism)
I’m sure Josh will do something else that will cause me to say something else. Lots of time until November, 2010. Gonna be a fun year.
