Now that the Graham-Cassidy bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act is officially dead, we’d like to revisit one interesting development that slipped out as the debate over the measure intensified: a statement attributed to Sen. Cory Gardner of Colorado in the New York Times last week, claiming that an unnamed Republican donor from Colorado was closing his wallet until the GOP got its act together:
Gardner told his colleagues that a major Colorado contributor who played a role in his own campaign says party donors are reluctant to give any more money until congressional Republicans demonstrate results.
Since that time, there’s been much water-cooler speculation–who is this donor twisting Cory Gardner’s arm? They could always out themselves by speaking up, in fact under the circumstances it would probably be worth its own story. In the meantime, here’s a poll of some of the bigger Colorado Republican luminaries connected to Gardner’s 2014 win. Which do you think it is?
And will they have the courage to put their mouth where their money is?

I know who it isn't. It's not Mr. Blackwell. Is that dude wearing suspenders under a see through linen shirt? That is just wrong.
That's Con Man Cory with the mass murderer/President of the Philipines, Rodrigo Duterte, who happens to be wearing traditional Philipino clothing:
Tim Tebow
Bill Koch, of the Infamous Koch Brothers, and a world famous corksoaker.
He does live in CO. Isn't he the one who is estranged from Chuck and Dave?
Bill Koch was estranged from his bros over control of the family bizniz. His company contributed $750,000 to elect Mitt Romney, and spent $1.5 million to defeat an offshore wind farm.
He may have left "Dodge", as it were.
Quite the interesting one……

Club for Growth is always Gardner's biggest donor, so yeah, the Koch brothers, primarily.
But our Junior Senator also has many (97)donations, contacts, and meetings with lobbying firms who employ agents of foreign countries. These are all US-based lobbying firms, as far as I can tell; yet, they also employ people who say up front that they are working in the interests of other countries.
I have no idea if Gardner is unusual in this respect or not; it's interesting, is all.
I always thought Cory was a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries. I stand corrected, thanks mamajama.
All the above.
McConnell reportedly spent more than $10 million trying to prop up Luther Strange. Moore will probably win in December but it won't be easy or cheap.
A lot of mainstream Republicans (and I use that term loosely) are going to be parroting the party line: "I don't agree with everything Moore says."
And poor Cory is really going to have to bang his tin cup and ass-kiss those donors for all the money Mitch will need to spend to make Moore look respectable.
Are you sure about a need to make Moore look respectable? Judge Moore has a long and distinguished career in Alabama – and taking what has distinguished him away to make him look respectable would be challenging and probably unsuccessful.
I'm betting Mitch & the SRCC don't spend much, but endorse and let the Trumpists raise the cash.
Does the "donor" exist?
Do you mean it's like his insurance cancellation letter?
Yep
Typical Cory Gardner . . .
