Denver Media Ignore Press Conference by Dem Leaders Angry @ Obama Meddling in Senate Race

  • by: John Kennedy

There seems to be some doubt that there actually was a Press Conference Tuesday at our Democratic Headquarters on Sante Fe by a number of Colorado Dem leaders who are upset with Obama coming to Colorado Prio to Our Caucus and Primary to shill for Bennet.

So.. I am posting the emailed announcement I received, that the more open minded of you will hopefully accept as proof that the event did occur.

Subject: Press Conference – Feb 16th, 10 am – 777 Santa Fe

There will be a Press Conference tomorrow February 16, 10 am…in front of  Colorado Democratic Headquarters 777 Santa Fe, Denver.

Please come and join us, we worked hard to get Senator Obama elected as our President. We still support him, but we think he is wrong coming to Colorado and involving himself in our US SENATE PRIMARY RACE.

Let’s tell Washington, we choose our candidates. We CAUCUS and we Vote in our Primary, not Washington. Hope to see you there.

                                                               Thank you,

Polly Baca – Denver Democrat – Former State Legislator and Former State and National Democratic Officer

Julia Hicks – Adams County Democrat – Former Colorado Democratic Party Vice-Chair

Dick Barkey – Weld County Democrat – Former Jefferson County Democratic Party Chair

I forwarded this email to all Denver TV Stations and to multiple people at the Denver Post, but even though 3 TV Stations had reporters and cameramen there, no articles appeared.  Don’t believe the Denver Post sent anyone, as no  article appeared today

Anyone have urls for TV and Denver Post articles about Tuesday Press Conference of Colorado Democratic Leaders angry about Obama trying to buy our Democratic Caucus and Primary? We were in front of the Colorado Dem Headquarters.

Can’t find anything on any Denver news website.

  1. Is it possible that a President who is willing to Steal a Democratic Caucus and Primary..

Will also Authorize Torture in some deniable way?

There is a reason Obama refuses to prosecute the Bush/Cheney/Torture Memo Lawyer Conspiracy….

    I believe torture continues,

that Obama is probably “torturing in our name” even as we argue about diversions they create.

    It all comes down to

“Why do we voters tolerate in Obama

    (and in our Democratic Congress)

What we Hated When Bush or Cheney Did it?”

  2. around 445 or 5.

Looked like there was 5 or 6 people there- including the Denpost reporter I recognized.

Though no, I saw nothing in the post.

Perhaps because “A Few Angry Dems Show Up to Complain About Obama” isn’t news.

I don’t think anyone doubted that your event occurred – I don’t think anyone cared.

Did you put out another press release to get the msm to Tattered Cover tomorrow morning at 10? Sounds like the turnout is going to be a little better and without a parade permit there might even be an arrest or two, which could get some coverage.

    1. We’re not saying your points aren’t valid, but as other commenters have said, this storyline has already been reported on — a lot. There’s nothing new here, which is why the media isn’t particularly interested.

For example, if you have a five-legged dog, you could probably get some press coverage of your dog and how you came into possession of this five-legged creature. But if you called a press conference again two weeks later to talk about your five-legged dog, nobody would care. It’s not that your dog is no longer interesting, but the story has been done. It’s not a story anymore.

Same thing here. You can’t just keep making the same complaint over and over and expect the media to come listen every time you do it.

  3. Then you’re not looking very hard.

Other TV stations were there. Truth be told, the press conference wasn’t that interesting. There’s already been coverage about Romanoff backers objecting to Obama’s visit. Some stations will probably run footage from yesterday’s press conference when Obama is here tomorrow.

  4. Roger Jesup I think.. but not sure

Except for about 2 seconds on 31 last night the media ignored us(all I could find).

Now they are only starting to publish after we outted them.

    1. You’re just flat wrong, yahoo. Read the time-stamp on the Channel 4 story.

And Terry Jessup (not his evil twin Roger) didn’t “try to argue” them out of their positions, he asked them questions — isn’t this just politics as usual? and recorded their resounding “No!” and let them explain why.

You can protest in the street all you want, but don’t expect press coverage just because you’re making a fool of yourself.

      1. You obviously hate democracy RedGreen.

For all you “Obama is usurping democracy” folks, please answer Twitty’s question above, because I personally want to know the answer.
