Open Communications Colorado, LLC. purchases Squarestate.net
The popular progressive political blog SquareState is announcing new management and ownership today. Open Communications Colorado, LLC purchased the blog from previous owner Soapblox Network, Inc. in an effort to revitalize the community and offer the progressive blogosphere in Colorado a community-based source of progressive political action and information.
SquareState.net is a member of the 50 State Blog network and was awarded press credentials for the historic DNC convention in 2008. Recently the owners have decided that new oversight was needed to bring new bloggers and fresh opinions to the Colorado blogosphere. Squarestate welcomes all new and veteran bloggers to come participate in this most democratic of communication forums.

A while back, squarestate was up for grabs. As the community shifted and dwindled for reasons we’ve speculated about, I thought more and more about the availability of the site. After much hemming and hawing, I decided that at this point in my life, it was a good decision to make.
The ultimate (and perhaps naive) goal of mine in acquiring this community blog is create a dynamic space for people to contribute their thoughts on how to use this technology for good and not evil. I welcome everyone.
You can learn more about the plan here. Thanks for playing.
Especially after you went through some pretty creepy stuff. Good luck with the new site.
why don’t you join so we can make you one of us?
She’s definitely committed, smart. and pro labor.
I appreciate that.
You’ve got fans.
You’ve got bloggers.
Now, run for office. We need you!
I’ll be the next Steve Harvey except my campaign slogan will be “Vote For Fong! It’s actually not all that complicated”.
Then your slogan might as well be “buy my blind ideology! It has 40% fewer calories than the competing brand!” You I know I love ya, Suf, but, please, don’t become another voice arguing for why thought is expendible. There are already plenty of those, on both sides of every divide.
Do we need to make new user names?
I couldn’t get my old account to log in.
squarestate belonged to the creator of Soapblox Networks Inc (the same platform as this here blog) and it was uhm… unique because of that. There were some concerns that there may be some quirkiness. I decided I would rather have the cleanest, most updated code.
Oh, umm, maybe it’s ok to out yourself?
who am I to say I can break the rules?
Once people start outing themselves, outing everyone else is the next logical step.
This is outrageous. Rot in hell madam.
