More Record-Breaking Traffic at Colorado Pols

  • by: Colorado Pols

Thanks to all of you out there in the Internet tubes, Colorado Pols had another record-breaking day last week.

On Tuesday, Nov. 2 (Election Day, if you recall), Colorado Pols recorded 15,899 unique visitors and 99,672 page views! Both numbers set one-day records for Colorado Pols.

So thanks again to everyone out there for continuing to make Colorado Pols the most widely read and discussed political website in Colorado. Contact us at ads@coloradopols.com to get in on the action.

      1. and you’re ignoring the effect of the opinion leaders who frequent this and other sites.  (While we are the leading example of citizen journalism in this state, we aren’t the only one.)

the role Pols played in focusing attention on Buck’s “buyer’s remorse” blunder, por exemplo, was soon echoed by others.  And a fair number of stories first aired here were finally matched, albeit without credit, by That Which Must Not Be Named.

Re-read your Lenin (or read it, if you haven’t) and learn about the leading role of political elites.

          1. “We’re so important that we get to believe we’re important”.

“We’re so important that even unimportant people think we’re important”.

“We’re so important that politicians frequent the site to find out the prognostications as divined from the backs of turtles pajama robed geek oracles”.

“Just ask us and we’ll tell you that we’re important and we add color and humor to the daily grind of beating back ultra right wing lies and hysteria”.

and we add color to a

  1. those page breakdowns look like. Whose diaries/posts/comments/etc are the most popular. I’m guessing beej was right up near the top. What would that say???

    1. they would analyze the forward and backward links in a script to see how the customer traversed the script when they got to the VRU.  You could tell a lot by the path a customer took to get to a web page.

It would be interesting to see the fall off too.  What was the page count and unique visitors the day after?  You could also analyze the posts per diary to page hits to see if more activity drew more views.  Lots of analysis that only Pols sponsors will probably get to see.

    2. This is also almost exactly the margin that Bennet beat Buck by. Those 15,000 people read bjwilson83’s comments, H-man’s comments, and No2Dems’ comments, and decided on that basis to vote for Bennet over Buck.

Republicans on Pols spent hours posting here every day, and their efforts lost the election for Buck. It’s like a Greek tragedy.

  2. You are successful because you cover important stories and you are fun (for me) to read. But you have recently had a lot of comments about all the Trolls bailing out … they’ll be back… in the meantime will that decrease your page views? Inquiring minds want to know. Am also particularly interested in 4th CD boundary changes. I wonder if 4th CD will be changed so voters in Fort Collins will become a larger percentage of the total.
