I am puzzled by ColoradoPols' silence concerning Michael Bennet. This man is no Democrat, and no friend of working people. I am interested in hearing from others who think he should be recalled, opposed in a primary, defeated at the next opportunity. He is nothing but a servant of the 0.0001%.

I was no fan of Senator Bennet, since he, as appointed Superintendant of Denver Public Schools, engineered the PERA/DPS retirement merger which has created problems we're still dealing with today.
I also didn't like the way that OFA jumped into a primary contest between Bennet and Romanoff, and basically steamrolled Bennet over Romanoff's candidacy. I ended up holding my nose and voting for Bennet, anyway, as the Lesser Weevil.
However, I'd have to say that since being elected, Bennet's voting record has been pretty progressive, other than his obvious debts to the financial service industry where he spent most of his pre-DPS career.
In any case, I'm no longer an advocate of recalling people with whom we have political disagreements. A primary challenge from a more progressive candidate would be interesting to me.
Agree. He's clearly preferable to any contemporary R who could possibly run against him, since only extreme right wingers can win primaries, and he helps us maintain a Dem majority Senate, something even the most conservative of Dems is still good for.
Besides that his voting record is mainly supportive of the issues important to progressives while even the most supposedly "moderate" (make that very conservative but not completely insane) Rs still vote against anything progressives want close to 100% of the time and most Rs in the Senate do not qualify as even pretend "moderate" anymore.
Yazzie is no doubt a rightie concern troll. Nice try Yazzie.
+1
I agree. I never wanted Bennet as my Senator. Appointed by Ritter over the objections of the CDP who wanted Romanoff. Thus, the nasty primary. Obama made a critical mistake endorsing the moron instead of Romanoff, thus tipping the favor to Bennet for another 5 more years that he did not earn or deserve.
I am ready to throw him out and replaced with a true progressive Democrat like Romanoff, which by then would be seasoned enough and ready to kick Bennet's ass, and win it this time.
Hopefully Bennet will read the leaves and scram before his term is up so there is no primary fight.
My concern today is about his cosponsorship of Menendez-Kirk re: sanctions on Iran. The most charitable thing one could say is this is political posturing. I think President Obama is right to threaten a veto of this ill-considered legislation. Why is Michael Bennet on this bill?
