We've migrated to a new dedicated server in an effort to accommodate high election season traffic.

Please report any glitches, gremlins, etc. to alva@coloradopols.com. Thanks as always.

          1. Perfectly accurate. Why don't you stay on your rightie blogs where cynical hypocritical hateful bigots like you think using a suffering family's tragedy for a punch line is a hoot? Don't answer.  Rhetorical question. Just stay the hell away.

        1. Quick way to indicate “Look up, Piece Of Slime, ” without wasting a lot of time on said POS. Of course, ct may have had something ruder than “Slime” in mind :).

  1. Couldn't get on last night.  Got on once this morning, next time no. Obviously this time yes. Clicking on your alva link didn't work so am reporting here.

    1. Everything is prolly fine- now (that is) UR exp prolly describes the arc of transition, similar to mine over the same time line, I got a bonus Account suspended screen which I took personally (LOL) report any glitches from this time forward I would assume thx

  2. For everyone who's been bitching about an edit function on this site (including me), I've found something that works. Go to grammarly.com. They have a downloadable e-mail editor that follows you all over the web. Mine is down in the corner as I'm writing, though  it won't be seen once I post this. Just thought I'd mention it.

    1. The third world is the 1%ers dream destination. They're working hard to bring their paradises home.

A new report says the economic recovery has not resulted in higher incomes for anyone other than those who were already doing well.

      http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/09/upshot/how-are-american-families-doing-a-guided-tour-of-our-financial-well-being.html?smprod=nytcore-iphone&smid=nytcore-iphone-share

"Incomes rose nicely in the 2010 to 2013 time frame for the top 10 percent of earners (who had a median income of $230,000 last year). They rose slightly, by 0.7 percent, for the 80th to 90th percentile of earners (median of $122,000). But real incomes fell for every other group of earners."

  3. Meanwhile, back at 538:

Nate increased the odds of Republican takeover of Senate, 63.5% Friday, to 65.1% chance on Sunday.

    Things just keep looking up.

    1. WRONG:

SAM WANG: DEMS 51 GOTP 49

      Meta-margin: DEMS +1.0

Elction today: DEMS retain senate 85%

Election Nov: DEMS tretain senate 70%

      YOU LOSE, you disgusting liar.

      1. NY Times has Republicans with a 61% chance of a takeover.

Washington Post has Republicans with a 52% chance.

Anybody besides you and your Wang have Dems likely to hold the Senate?

        1. Any time you worms can find ANYONE with a track record of DEAD-ON accuracy that can even BEGIN to compare to Wang's, BRING IT.

Until then, cling stupidly to your dimishing hopes at the mercy of substandard poll aggregators, and STFU.

          #Romney in a landslide! That's the ticket!

    2. Did you notice anything else while you were over at 538?  Something, perhaps, with more local importance than the Senate "takeover?"  I can't believe you didn't post it, since you've been so diligent about posting the Colorado Senate race numbers.

Did that naughty Mr. Udall's race just go from R +0, 52% Republican win to D +2 63% Democratic win?

          1. I'm sure you could, except the 538 number you crowed about above, you know the jump in Republican chances from 63.5% to 65.1%?  It only took a day to drop back to 63.8%.  Every time you look at a number, it goes sour for you.  Like to give a body whiplash.

      1. No, Bernie Buecher and Russ George are more Denver establishment than West Slope, but their roots are there.  Matt Sura is a past director of Western Colorado and cut his teeth in the western Colorado oil and gas battles of the early 2000s. He's a Bouder lawyer now,  and still a good advocate for the cause. Texas is better represented actually.  On the 'local control' panel.  Luckily Houston borad rooms are likely to hae their needs met.

I am trying to reserve my judgment further, but if I were a betting man…

        1. Even though the "fracktivist" community is unrepresented here, which is unfair, I am delighted to see my good friend and colleague, Matt Sura, with a place at the table. Matt and I worked closely together on the passage of the legislation that enabled the new rules and tag-teamed during the stakeholder process that followed.

He is one of the sharpest knives in the drawer.

I also know both Bernie and Russell. Both, good, honorable men, but I worry that they will try too hard to compromise and allow the industry to move the goal posts at will. Perhaps with steady leadership from Gwen, whom I genuinely admire, this will not simply be a dog and pony show.

I submit that Tater Heap Tom and I would have been better choices than Bernie and Russell…but the governor obviously does not share that opinion.
