      1. AC's "leaders" made what is the biggest foreign policy blunder in the middle East in American history and now they're experts and nothing is good enough for them.

        FUCK THEM !

        1. Bush, Cheney et al are the very reason we suffered 9/11, our troops had to suffer needlessly through the Bush/Cheney Iraq War, and the world now faces the threat of ISIL. And those who voted for these cowardly chickenhawk louts are equally responsible.

          1. Cheney has played his hand better than the Devil himslef. American Empire will only be conceded when its dusty remains are blowing in the wind and the Kochs great grandchildren are starving in the streets.

  1. As we are goaded into war, once again, that will be to the benefit of the 1%, and the great cost to the rest of us, please don't forget how many blatant lies and epic failures had Dick Cheney as their father. And Vice President Cheney was given the counter-terrorism task force responsibilities by Dubya. They failed to meet until it was too late to respond to bin Laden and al Qaeda's monstrous attacks.

I'm sure AC approves of everything Cheney did(n't) do at the time, and all the profits he made from his Halliburton stock options. If only Obama had done the same!

  2. Pols

Your links under "recent posts" is VERY slow and the "in house" comments are not appearing on the front page, at times….there may be other bugs, but that's all for now, folks…..

    1. There must be a bug somewhere, Duke. The site's running slow as molasses for me, too. Links and comments are taking forever to come up.  I popped over here to report it, then I saw you've got it, too.

    1. The conclusion from that article pretty much sums up FauxNews in its entirety, and unfortunately, its effect of bringing "Idiocracy" upon us that much sooner:

Years and years of on-air idiocy, after all, have propelled “Fox & Friends” to the top of the morning cable-news ratings. Why walk back the show’s business model now?

  3. Udall suffers from low-T

DENVER (CBS4) – For the first time in CBS4 history an incumbent U.S. senator has declined to debate his opponent live on air. In fact, Sen. Mark Udall isn’t doing a debate on any of the four major network television stations in Denver.

CBS4 Political Specialist Shaun Boyd said it’s disappointing to CBS4, but it’s also unfortunate for CBS4 viewers.

“Live debates are the one opportunity voters have to see candidates go toe-to-toe without a media filter, see the clarity of their vision and courage of their conviction; how they think on their feet and respond under pressure,” Boyd said. “We’ve been trying to schedule this debate for more than two months.”

    * * *

“Unlike attack ads that cost millions of dollars to air, it was free air time. But incumbent Sen. Mark Udall said, ‘No thanks,’ “ Boyd said.

CBS4 has a long history of hosting political debates dating back to its days as KOA. For more than 30 years the station has invited candidates for U.S. Senate to debate on CBS4’s air, and never has a candidate passed on the opportunity — until now.

    Udall says he’s all booked.

Playing not to lose often results in losing.

  4. History shows that mission-creep has a way of evolving relatively small operations into major, often unsustainable, long-term military commitments. It is almost always easier to get into a conflict than to get out.

Although attacking ISIS may be a necessary evil, I cannot support getting bogged down in another quagmire.

  5. Not confident I'll be able to send but just FYI, Colpols, the site's really screwed for me today. For a while I couldn't get on. Now I'm on.  My "My Comments"  is  still empty. "Recent Comments" is empty too.  It took a while to get here to write this so I'll just hit  "post comment" and hope for the best.  Also FYI, not having trouble with any other sites or searches. Here goes….

    1. Ditto.  Page loads are taking up to a minute (seems longer, but that's an eon in computer time).  Recent comments are now filled with the Twitter feed instead of, you know, recent comments…

I'm not even gonna try checking my old comments.

  6. Udall diagnosed with Low-T:

    1. Perhaps he doesn't feel compelled to debate as 538 has him at 68% over Cory "Let me at that ovum" Gardner.  Sorry to pile on the sadness you must be feeling as the chance for the Pubs to take the senate has slipped from the mid 60s to 58.2%.  Bit of a southward trend, what?

  7. We've again been hit with server problems today. Sorry for the inconvenience, and we're told that the system is stable now with even more capacity added.
