  1. After 15 years of "No Tax Rebate for You!", our Democratic governor has submitted a budget which restores TABOR rebates!  I wonder if El Paso County will show its gratitude by voting to re-elect Hick……..

  2. New Numbers last night.

    1,463,766 ballots (70-75%)

    R+ 120,753

Republicans increase lead to 8.25% over Dems.

    R 40.35%

    D 32.1%

Search underway for missing Dem ground game.

    1. Cokie Roberts chimed in:

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Cokie how about the worst campaign?

COKIE ROBERTS: Well, the one I did name was — the worst candidate was this Democrat in Ohio, Fitzgerald. But the worst — I think Mark Udall has run a terrible campaign. I think that this business of going—

      STEPHANOPOULOS: Colorado.

ROBERTS: Colorado. Going after women on abortion and birth control and all of these things is pandering in a way that women start to just resent.

      – See more at: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/jeffrey-meyer/2014/11/02/cokie-roberts-mark-udall-has-run-terrible-campaign#sthash.ZFpXzrRL.dpuf

      1. Cokie who? I guess she missed the part about Texas closing down women's health clinics and Todd Akin's supporters (ie, Gardner, Ernst, et al) believing in no exceptions for abortion even in the case or rape and incest and believing some birth control is now the equivalent of an abortion.

She may have tired of the campaign against religious zealotry because she's a "news" personality who has to hear this campaign so often, but she doesn't have to live in a state where women's rights are truly under attack. No, she's got all her rights in tact with zero chance of them ever being stripped from her, but she's tired of campaigns that are "all about" women's health and women's choices – it bores her because she hears it so often.

What she should really be tired with are radical conservatives who keep foisting this issue on all of his, not the people who are pointing out the fact they are in fact radical ideas.

      1. I hope  DA Ken Buck does NOT win CD4 this year, seeing as I am now one of his constituents.

If "Buyers Remorse" Buck triumphs over Vic Meyers, who has the virtues of integrity, consistency, and actual policy positions instead of mere GOP talking points, I personally pledge to be the constituent from hell – a devil head thorn stuck in a hard -to-reach place.

        1. MJ, Vic won't get 40%.

He had no support and never got any traction.

The only Dem with money who gave him any was Polis who I believe chipped in $1,000.  He raised less than 100K in the whole cycle.

The Dems wrote the race off.

          1. Vic Meyers will surprise everyone, including Democratic party operatives. If not 40%, he'll get 30-35%. With more financial support and media, he could have taken CD4.  He's got a lot more on the ball as a candidate than Bucky does.

He's a corrections officer, which is worth a hell of a lot more to corrections workers  and Colorado WINS members in both the SE and N portions of CD4, than a slick-talking, callous hypocrite like Ken Buck.

It's obvious to his constituents that "Buck don't give a  f*ck" about them and their concerns. I feel a limerick coming on. Watch this space.

Meyers has also been working his tail off, crisscrossing the vast stretches of CD4, talking with people everywhere

              1. I went from Tancredo to Coffman to Gardner to, now, Buck.  I'm pretty used to being without a Congressional representative.

The good news if there is any is that Buck's more easily defeated than the current idiot at some future date — even in CD4.  Buck does have a few principals and doesn't lie nearly as much as CG (then again, who does?).  It's his biggest weakness among the changing electorate . . .

    1. If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all…..  Both Ways isn't part of the narrative put out by the Koch.  Both Ways' sole purpose was to avoid hurting Gardner which he apparently served.

    1. Dude I don't think you know what you're posting. That's actually quite good for Udall. Jeffco unaffiliateds break Democratic nearly every time. If Udall is really only down 12k on the R-D metric, he'll win Jeffco, and usually, that means the state. I do hope you'll be back tomorrow morning to eat your crow, but I suspect as usual you will be gone.

  3. Serious question: when did  the law change tto allow campaign ads on Election Day? I woke up to the whiny strains Conman Cory's voice begging for votes this  morning.  Annoying and stupid, since he implored me to mail my ballot.

    1. I'd file it under wearing campaign buttons and t-shirts to the polling place. Yeah, it's not illegal, but not everything you can do is something you should do.

  4. Still a long way to go today.

I find it funny that AC is here desperately trying to convince us that it's all over. It's not over. It's not remotely over.

  5. We all know this and have probably already voted, but please re-post this to your social media sites. Let's see if we can round up some of those procrastinators who think it's too late for them to vote.                    Colorado voters can still register today to vote! Find a voter service center at http://www.justvotecolorado.org/ and bring your ID (and any other proof of residency, like a utility bill or something, just in case).

    1.  Posting during a break in calling.  Why are the rest of you here.  Call, visit doors, take people to the polls, deliver up to 10 ballots.  Get off your asses and get this done.

  6. In 2010 It predicted a pickup of 8 seats in the Senate for Republicans.[10] The Republicans picked up 6 Senate seats.  In 2012   there would no change in composition of the Senate with Democrats at 53 and Republicans at 47 – Dems picked up two seats – yeah really reliable source there achole. How's that rash?

  7. Big thanks to everyone who volunteered and canvassed.  My schedule made it impossible for me, but I gave more than any previous cycle.  It would have been fun to be out there.  Great job, we'll see the results tonight.

    1. And results only tell half the story Daft.  A lot of organizing went into this election cycle that will be around in a year for the 2016 elections.  Sustaining and existing organizations can perform at top levels and be the catalyst for the next success.  Well done to all who participated.

      1. Every two term president going back to Eisenhower has faced an opposition controlled congress for his last two years. Besides that historic precedent, Dems have what some are calling their toughest electoral map in 50 years this year. So to keep this in perspective, if Rs, who will have the tougher map in presidential year 2016, don't absolutely kick ass with significantly bigger than average ( 6 seats. Yes that's just average) 6 year itch Senate seat gains, this is going to be a seriously underperforming election for them and their last best chance before the GOTP 's glory days are over for good.

Between now and 2016 we need to do everything we can to make sure all registered voters have proper ID because the Supremes are on the side of the vote suppressing racist/bigots and will likely let their vote suppression legislation in the states stand. And that's all the GOTP will have left so they'll probably try to pass even more, even worse legislation. We don't want to just win the WH and Senate in 2016. We want to crush the life out of the monster the 21st century GOTP has become. And we can do it.

    2. Agreed, Daft  Staffers were at their posts by 6 am this morning.  We have housed two staffers for several weeks and we seldom see them — they leave about 8 am and come home around midnight – 2 am every day.

They will be the difference in this race.

  8. Between Denver and Boulder alone, we should be anticipating an additional 119,000 – 285,000 votes to be counted.

(I took today's SOS voting #'s for D and R for each county.  I compared these current vote totals with the total votes for these counties in 2010 and 2012.)

Per Adam Dunstone's memo, they are expecting an 11% increase in voting totals from 2010.  That would put the expected uncounted ballots from Denver and Boulder to be about 154,000.

This is going to be close.

  9. Could Jeffco cost con man cory the election?

If you read anything about watching returns in CO, you'll hear about bellwether Jefferson county is the county to watch.  Here's the R advantage over the last 2 reports:

    11/03/14             6.9%

    11/04/14             6.4%

So Jefferson county is already below the magic 6.8% statewide 2010 number and is for sure to drop further today.

          1. If AC gets on a train at 3 PM traveling East out of Union Station going 75 miles an hour for 5 hours and Cory Gardner gets on a Greyhound bus in Yuma traveling East going 60 miles an hour, and the distance between Union Station and Yuma is 110 miles – which one of them is going to lose the election?

Answer: Cory Gardner, because AC is an idiot.

  10. Forget the worthless, useless, piece of shit troll. I can tell you personally that all the teabagger types I'm encountering today are privately shitting bricks right now at what they see happening on the ground, despite their shills and propaganda outlets trying to snow everyone.

FIGHT THESE BLACK-HEARTED WINGNUT BASTARDS! GET MOVING! WE CAN DO AND ARE DOING THIS!

  11. Reality bites . . .

Tough truth, our greatest delusions are always self-induced.

" . . .  the very people who are most mistaken about political reality are the people who are most politically active . . . "
